World Keratoconus Day - November 10

World Keratoconus Day, observed annually on November 10, is a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about Keratoconus. Sponsored by the National Keratoconus Foundation, the day focuses on educating the public, advocating for patients, and sharing personal stories.

The Goals of World KC Day

The campaign aims to highlight the importance of eye health and encourage people to get regular eye exams, which can lead to earlier diagnosis. It also serves to:

  • Increase public understanding of what Keratoconus is and how it affects people's lives.
  • Promote the message of not rubbing your eyes.
  • Encourage patients to share their experiences to reduce feelings of isolation.
  • Raise funds for research into the causes and treatments of Keratoconus.

How to Get Involved

You can participate by sharing information on social media using the hashtag #WorldKCDay, talking to friends and family about the condition, or participating in events organized by patient advocacy groups. Every action helps to shine a light on this often misunderstood disease.
